This is a Saturday tradition with my best friend. We have been going here since it first opened. Everything is delicious. You cannot go wrong. But make sure you come early, this place is so great, food often runs out. So...don't wait til 7 pm and expect to get everything on the menu. I love this. It ensures no waste, no greasy leftovers to be served the next day. Fresh, amazing, relaxing and the staff is friendly. Much love! Also, homemade sauces....so good.

We lived in Kansas City for 10 years. There are all kinds of styles of barbecue in Kansas City. And they are all fantastic. The blue stack is definitely in this caliber and the service is very friendly. the food for barbecue in Indiana is outstanding.

This is a great BBQ place in the Fort Wayne region. I have been there several times over the last few weeks the brisket, pulled pork and sausage are my favorites. For sides I like the baked beans and mac/cheese. All of the meats have great smoke flavor - don't really need any of the sauces. It is very low key so don't expect anything fancy - think Rudy's in TX for a comparison minus the gas station and a loaf of bread with your BBQ..

Excellent food! Haven't had a bad thing yet from them and I've been going about every other week. Meats are always great but the sides are what surprised me the most. Try all the sauces!

Blue Stack it hands down the best place in town for brisket. The portions are huge and the pricing is less than 10 bucks per meal. The sides are decent but I personally put much more emphasis on the meat. The owner plates all the food and he is very personable. Blue Stack is small but it's simple and the food stands out. Aside from the amazing brisket they also serve pulled pork, chicken, sauasge, and ribs. Sauce is always on the side and they are all so tasty. You should try it!

Very good food!!! I was there at 12:30 and all they had left were pulled pork and ribs. I picked the ribs and very happy with my choice. Next time I'm hoping to eat some brisket. Highly recommended.

Easily some of the best ribs in town. Their meat is tender, moist, and good to the bone. We like them so much, we can enjoy them without sauce. The staff is friendly and engaging. If you need to be the hit of a party, show up with a slab or 2 of these ribs. The chicken is equally delicious, smoked to perfection.

Absolutely love this place. Everything is fresh and they make what they have for the day and that is that. The flavor is incredible and the meat falls off the bone. A hidden gem!

We went here for lunch today because we had heard it was really good. They were right. I ordered the brisket with one side (green beans) for $7.50. The brisket was a TAD, just a tad, bit dry, but it was very good with good flavor. I used the sweet bbq sauce. The green beans were not exceptional, but they were just fine. My son got the full slab of ribs and they were so, so good. A lot of meat on them with a great char. He had the macaroni and cheese and said it was good. I hear to go early because they run out of things, and that is true, as the board said they were already out of chicken at 11:45. They were very quick to get us our food, and luckily there was a table open. They have only about 5, so don't loiter when you are done eating :) Good bbq, large portions, fast and friendly service - will definitely be back again.

We ate here last night and I really enjoyed it. I was checking out the plates of other visitors and the chicken and ribs looked amazing! The chicken was a really big piece, too. I ended up getting the brisket because they were out of both ribs and chicken. My boyfriend got the pulled pork. I don't know if it was just just this time, but my brisket wasn't tender like I've had it any other place. It was very good, though, and they gave me a very generous portion. I tasted my boyfriend's pulled pork and it was very tender and tasty. We both got baked beans and macaroni. The baked beans were really good. I'm kind of a macaroni snob so I thought it was alright but my boyfriend liked it. I thought the sauces were great! The sweet sauce was my favorite. The hot wasn't anything special. The hot mustard was very good. I really liked the vinegar based sauce, and it tasted exactly like something I would expect going down to the ribfest. I ended up mixing all of them together except for the regular hot, which tasted like ordinary BBQ sauce. The prices were great, and I had so much food that I ate it again for lunch today! My favorite part about this place was how nice everyone was. The man in the back was incredibly polite and delightful! This is the type of customer service you don't see that often, and I would come back again for sure!

We went there earlier last year.. My brisket was okay a bit dry..the ribs were the same way..The sides are well....bad. watery and sweet potato salad .. the beans were too sweet also. the potato salad tasted like it had condensed milk in it.... The service is inconsistent. small portions one time and bigger ones the next..But still dry meat...Luckily my Husband can smoke good meats..Sure it takes ahile, but at least we will get a good meal....Sorry tata Blue Stack.....Wish you were better. Parting is sad....I love supporting small restaurant owners....but with good consistent food..

It's....good. Wouldn't eat in there however, it's more like a cafeteria than a restaurant. But take out is fine. It really isn't the best bbq, but it really isn't bad. If you want some decent brisket, sausage or pulled pork and you can't be bothered to make it yourself (because that really does take hours) then here is a good option. I'd say use your own bbq sauce though, I didn't much like their options. Jalapeno poppers were waaaaaaaay too smokey. Burnt bacon and ash is all I could taste.

Honestly the best BBQ in Fort Wayne. The brisket is always fresh as they cut your portion right in front of you. The chicken is half a chicken and they are large. Love the smoky flavor and juiciness of ALL the meats. Have never had a bad meal there and we definitely eat there a lot! Side are good but not great. Try the cole slaw. It is quite tasty. Just get there early or call ahead as they do run out as they want their food fresh and not day old stuff. Incredibly friendly staff. Only 5 tables to eat in on. Prices are quite affordable for BBQ. Main meat and 1 side is $7.50. Worth the drive!!

Pretty good BBQ. No burnt ends, which is disappointing but the brisket and sausage wast pretty tasty.

Just went to this place for lunch (1/12/2013). They have been open one week. You can see and smell their smoker out back behind the restaurant. They are located in the building that once housed a tattoo parlor. It smelled wonderful walking in the front door, and the food was excellent! We all had a pulled pork sandwich with a side (my wife & I had potato salad, our son had chips and jalapeno poppers). The meat was tender, tasty, and well smoked. The poppers had sausage in the middle of the jalapeno and were each wrapped in bacon...delicious! We've been short of any good barbecue restaurants for a while now. I'm glad to see this one appear! I agree with Mike U...this is a BARBECUE, not a steakhouse!!!

The food is good. Great? Not so much. Plastic silverware, can pop... And they run out of food all the time. I've have yet to go where everything on the menu was available. Service is hit or miss... Sometimes they're happy, sometimes they just want you to leave. Worth a stop, for lunch or a little after. Just don't expect awesome.

Best smoked meat in Fort Wayne. Portions are generous and never second day. Every place I've been to in the Fort Wayne area cooks brisket a couple days a week then re-heats when ordered. Blue Stack cuts it right when you order and you can see the juices streaming down the slice. Absolutely my favorite smoked brisket and chicken. The poppers are amazing too if you get there early enough to buy some. The ONLY reason I can't give five stars is the sauce. The sweet and hot sauces taste like the same ketchup based sauce with the latter being a bit warmer. The vinegar sauce tastes like vinegar with dry rub. I may personally make a sauce recipe for this place as it's the only thing I can see keeping them from being the best que in the area.

I travel quite a bit for business, including to Fort Wayne, and make it a point to search out great food. I'll definitely return here. While the brisket may not stand up to TX brisket like Franklin in Austin or even Pecan Lodge in Dallas it's in the wheelhouse as far as tenderness goes. Could use a bit more flavor for my taste but the bark is good and my portion was more than enough. Out of ribs that day and sides were good enough. Sauces are good not great but if the meat is right you shouldn't need sauce. It takes real time and skill to smoke brisket and this guy is doing it right.
